I began my professional career as an Electrical Engineer in the oil & gas industry in Dubai, where I worked on engineering projects and experienced firsthand the expectations, challenges, and opportunities of the corporate world. Those years taught me that success is not determined by qualifications alone, it comes from choosing a career that aligns with one's strengths, interests, and aspirations.
With a passion for teaching and learning, I transitioned into academia as an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering. While teaching undergraduate students, I noticed a recurring pattern. Many students were intelligent, hardworking, and capable, yet they struggled to stay motivated because they had entered courses that did not truly align with who they were. Watching students question their choices and lose confidence made me realize that career guidance should begin much earlier, before students choose a course or profession.
Mathematics has always been my favourite subject, and my passion for making it enjoyable led me to become an International Mathematics Mentor. With a mission to help students overcome math phobia, I taught learners from more than eight countries, spending over 10,000 hours mentoring and guiding students. Beyond teaching mathematics, I had the privilege of understanding students from diverse backgrounds, their dreams, fears, learning styles, and the challenges they face while navigating academics and making important career decisions.
These experiences transformed my perspective. I realized that students need more than academic excellence; they need clarity, self-awareness, and the confidence to make informed life decisions. This realization inspired me to dedicate my work to career guidance.
Today, as a Certified Career Analyst (CCA) and International Certified Career Counsellor, I help students discover their strengths, understand their unique potential, explore meaningful career pathways, and make confident, informed decisions about their future. My approach combines insights from industry, education, and scientific career assessment to guide students toward careers that are not only successful but also personally fulfilling.
My vision extends beyond one-to-one career counselling. I am building a community where students are encouraged to discover their strengths, dream fearlessly, explore possibilities, and develop the clarity, confidence, and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. I believe career guidance is not just about choosing a course or profession, it is about helping every student understand themselves, unlock their potential, and build a future that truly reflects who they are.
